I have discovered a few good websites for learning apparel and fashion industry and prepared a list for the same. I like to share it with you. It includes the most common and popular websites in the textile and apparel industry. Most of the websites are professional blogs, websites by institutes and organizations, and online publications. - ASTM Textile Standards provide the specifications and test methods for the physical, mechanical, and chemical properties of textiles, fabrics, and clothes, as well as the natural and artificial fibers that constitute them.
- Apparel Merchandising, a blog on apparel merchandising, textile printing, knitting, garments manufacturing, embroidery, etc.
- Apparel Resources An online magazine with valuable articles on garment manufacturing, machinery, and the latest technology.
- A&E, a site by an American thread manufacturer. Under the tab Technical Tools you will get pdf documents related to yarns, threads, seams, stitches, and needles. For example http://www.amefird.com/technical-tools/tech-bulletins/apparel/
- Better work. Go to the Publication and Resources tab. A lot of good materials are available on factory compliances.
- Coats International, a site by Coats, a leading sewing thread manufacturer. You will find a technical report on sewing reports, thread consumption guides, and more.
- Coletterie, a blog for sewing tips, and ideas.
- Clean Cloth Campaign is dedicated to improving working conditions and supporting the empowerment of workers in the global garment and sportswear industries. You will find case history on compliance issues in garment factories around the world.
- Denim and Jeans, a blog by denim expert Sandeep Agarwal. You will find a lot of articles on denim processes, denim brands, the denim market, and a lot more.
- Ellis Developments Limited. This site is not well designed but contains great tutorials for knitting manufacturing and apparel quality management.
- Elyon Ltd provides good content related to General Sewing Data. You will get most of the answers to your questions related to General sewing Data (GSD).
- Fabric.com Blog, a blog on fabrics.
- eKnitting Stitches: eKnitting Stitches is a free online resource for beginner to advanced knitters covering a trove of knitting stitch ideas, knitting techniques, and patterns.
- Fashion Incubator, a blog by Kathleen Fasanella. A blog has numerous articles covering a lot of topics such as pattern making, garment manufacturing, Tips on sewing, etc.
- Fibre to Fashion Fibre2Fashion is a business-to-business (B2B) portal. This site publishes numerous articles covering whole topics from fiber to fashion.
- Garmenco is a good resource for Stitches and Seam guides.
- GSD – General sewing data, the official site of general sewing data (GSD).
- How to Start a Clothing Company, the name of the site is self-explanatory what you get inside. Good guides for those who are thinking of starting a business in clothing.
- Just-style, an online publication that publishes the latest news, research study, and market research reports etc.
- Knitting Industry, an online publication on the knitting industry.
- Knitting Help, provides tips on knitting, knitting patterns, videos on knitting, and more.
- My Textile Notes, a blog by Priyank Goel on textile and garment processes.

- Sewport - Sewport.com is a digital sourcing platform that has also published many articles on various fabrics types. Explain about the fabric, its properties and applications of different fabrics.
- Sewing Insight has a lot of reviews on an industrial sewing machine of different brands.
